Laxenburg, Austri – Mbahet Ministeriali i Forumit të Salzburgut

Në Konferencën Ministeriale të Forumit të Salzburgut, në Laxenburg të Austrisë, e fokusuar në çështjet e sigurisë dhe thellimit të bashkëpunimit, zv.ministri i Brendshëm Andi Mahila prezantoi rezultatet e cilësuara të strukturave ligjzbatuese në varësi të Ministrisë së Brendshme, në luftën kundër kontrabandimit të emigrantëve, në Sesionin me temë: “Zgjidhje novatore mbi strategjitë e përbashkëta për përballimin e migracionit dhe luftimin e kontrabandës së migrantëve”.

Në bisedën me Zëvendësdrejtorin e Përgjithshëm të DG Home, Oliver Onidi, z. Mahila paraqiti angazhimin dhe arritjet e Shqipërisë për procesin e linjëzimit me politikën e vizave të BE-së.

Ai mori angazhim ndaj propozimit për mbështetje të Shqipërisë nga BE, për zgjerimin e regjimit reciprok pa viza me vendet nga lista pozitive e BE-së.

Me Zëvendësdrejtorin Ekzekutiv të FRONTEX z. Lars Gerdes, z. Mahila shkëmbeu vlerësimet mjaft pozitive për zbatimin e Marrëveshjes së re të nënshkruar me FRONTEX, e cila zgjeron fushën operacionale të bashkëpunimit, që i ka dhënë një impakt të lartë kontrollit të kufijve tanë.

Shqipëria do të vazhdojë të jetë e përkushtuar për të çuar përpara çdo nismë, plan apo projekt të BE-së, që rrit kohezionin mes vendeve tona dhe krijon një klimë më të mirë politike dhe ekonomike si parakusht për integrim në strukturat Euro-Atlantike.

English – At the Ministerial Conference of the Salzburg Forum (June 25-26, 2024-Laxenburg/Austria), focused on issues of security and deepening cooperation, I had the pleasure of presenting the contribution and qualified results of the law enforcement structures under the Ministry of the Interior, in the fight against migrant smuggling, in the Session on the topic: “Innovative solutions on joint strategies for coping with migration and combating migrant smuggling”.

During my discussion with Mr. Oliver Onidi, Deputy Director General of DG Home, I had the opportunity to highlight Albania’s commitment and achievements in aligning with the EU visa policy. I received his commitment to our proposal to support Albania from the EU and expand the reciprocal visa-free regime with the countries on the EU’s positive list.

With the Deputy Executive Director of FRONTEX, Mr. Lars Gerdes, we exchanged very positive assessments for the implementation of the new Agreement signed with FRONTEX. This agreement expands the operational scope of cooperation and has had a high impact on the control of our borders.

Albania remains committed to advancing any initiative, plan, or project of the EU that enhances cohesion between our countries and fosters a better political and economic climate, essential for integration into Euro-Atlantic structures.
